The Reception area is just inside the handicap accesible front doors. This is where initial contact is made with newly referred patients, returning follow-up patients and those receiving daily radiation treatments. By the way, the natural cherry wood wainscoting for our reception desk was custom designed and installed for Faith Hope and Love Cancer Center's reception desk by Lea's husband.
Hope and Love Cancer Center we strive to provide our patients and their loved ones with a comfortable, homey atmosphere. Our waiting rooms were designed to have the look and feel of your own living room.
TheTreatment Waiting Area is just adjacent to the Linear Accelerator Vault. Before initiating treatment patients meet with a radiation therapist in this area to go over forms. The therapist then will explain the procedures and answer any questions that you may have at that time.
At Faith, Hope and Love Cancer Center we realize that we are seeing many of our patients at (what may be) one of the most life-shaking events they have ever had to face. During such times life-changing and life-shaping questions are often pondered and contemplated. We believe that the best of treatments is one that remembers that man is a spiritual being. Therefore, we have set aside a room to which our patients and their loved ones may "retreat" for such contemplation. The theme of our Meditation Room is "Lighthouses". "To us he gives the keeping of the lights along the shore." Many of our staff would be willing to support you spiritually during this time. Dr. Gordon is available for prayer anytime she sees you during treatment or follow-up. All you need do is ask.

Faith Hope and Love Cancer Center delivers quality Radiation Oncology Treatment. The Varians 21EX Linear Accelerator provides a high degree of precision. Its 120 leaf collimater allows for the ultimate in "beam shaping". When used in concert with our 3D conformal treatment planning system, we are able to concentrate a dose to the cancerous tumor and greatly minimize radiation to the surrounding healthy tissue. This helps assure higher cure rates with fewer side effects.
Affectionately called the Aquarium, Fish Bowl or Glass Cage, the Nurses Station is at the hub of access to both the treatment and exam room areas. It was designed to give our nursing staff a "line-of-sight" to the exam rooms so, should the need arise, they may quickly react to a patient's needs.
Our "Butterfly Wall" is the creation of Dr. Gordon. It is the wall facing the Nurse's Station. It is a clever combination of Wall Paper Border; Photographs and Pictures of Butterflies taken off the internet. It is one more example of our desire to create a cozy, relaxing atmosphere for our patients (and somewhat for us too).
One of the ideas unique to Faith, Hope and Love Cancer Center is our Patient and Staff Display Case. The "theme" of the display case changes on a monthly basis because our patients and our staff are encouraged to select a month in which they can display their own treasured personal collections for the enjoyment of all -- Sports Memoribilia; Dolls; Model Trains; Ceramics; baskets and more have been displayed.
